The CBI has formally begun its investigation into the Police SI Recruitment Scam in Odisha. In the first phase, statements from 10 candidates—who allegedly paid money for securing the job—have already been recorded. The agency will now interrogate all 114 accused candidates who were earlier arrested and are currently out on bail. Investigators are focusing on identifying the key conspirator, tracking down the inter-state mafia believed to be hiding, and determining who collected the money during the recruitment fraud.
