Can one conjure the bleak, arctic chill of a Danish winter with a cookie tin? One can if it’s the Danish Winter Chaos Drone. The 3 separate voltage-controlled oscillators of the DWCD all pass through blue LEDs on their way to the output jack. Why blue? Because blue is the color of the air in a Danish winter. It is the color of your soul in the middle of February when the sky is grey and the cold is endless. Also, this oddly placed semiconductor results in massive comb filtering and phase cancelation, making for a truly expressive musical instrument. Flip the blue-tipped power switch and crank some knobs to get a feel for the drone. As the 3 oscillators interact with each other to create otherworldly sounds, flip the switch into Chaos Mode. You may now catch glimpses of the Aurora Borealis. Howling, moaning, singing. Melodies, rhythms, and harsh soundscapes all appear. The arctic wind and the ancient frozen tundra. In a cookie tin. Sounds great on its own or going through some effects - delay and reverb particularly. Uses a standard 9-volt battery (not included). Handmade in Sarasota, Florida Features: ● All hand-wired circuitry made from top-quality components ● Metal cookie tin enclosure ● Knobs and a switch ● It’s blue ● Addictive noisemaker! -- www.markzampella.com/mzfx mzfx.etsy.com
