Metrotrails Maybrook Line Hike! - Wallkill to Maybrook

Metrotrails hike tracing as close as possible to the historic Maybrook line, at the western terminus. The hike started in Wallkill, NY and ended at Veterans Memorial Park in Maybrook. This is a great connection point because so many rail lines terminated or passed through Maybrook. A few back roads took us past a winery and then to the place where we left off last time, and then trace the Maybrook Line south, on and off the rail bed. Also featured was the Wallkill Valley Cemetery and the Walden Community Park. There was a food stop in Walden where we found some unique art work inside and outside of the restaurant. We returned via back roads to the rail bed and followed it back into Maybrook to conclude the hike.
