Backpacking Little Blakely Loop Trails at Lake Ouachita

We started out with a plan to hike around the south and big tree (north) loops, but after taking a few wrong turns, we ended up hiking the Morgan hollow loop. After hiking around 6 miles, we hiked in the south loop about a mile to camp on a little peninsula on Lake Oauchita. After setting up camp, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset, ate our dinner, and sat around the campfire for hours staring at the moon and thousands of stars in the sky. The next morning we woke up early, watched the sunrise over the lake and ate breakfast. Then we hiked back to the cars to end the trip! . Keep up with my hikes on instagram as well: @kellyhays23 .
