Good anime afternoon, I am Deadiligent and today I have a short video for you today talking about the divide in the fandom? Are the Yeagerist right? Or do the members of the Alliance have the moral high ground. In this recent season it is hard for the audience to root for as our main cast are divided in to two groups the Yeagerists and the Alliance also known as the Global Alliance. This is anime only discuss, there will be no spoilers from the manga in this video and please I ask that your comments relate to only to anime and be civil with each other. The Yeagerists They want to protect their island from the rest of the world They feel if the rest of the world are dead then they can live in peace and be free. This is challenged in anime. I recently watched a video by Odin entitled Are The Yeagerists Right? I recommend you give it a watch after this video. And just quickly if you are watching this Odin Team Edward all the way. Are the Yeagerists right? If I had to answer yes or no. In my opinion the answer would be no. But are they do what they think is best for them then Yes. Is the rumbling the right thing to do? In my opinion no but in the Yeagerist’s point of view it is, they feel they have no other options. I think we can all agree that the destruction of all humanity or most of it is a bad thing. And I feel Eren and the Yeagerists feel this way. But all the other options presented to Eren would not work. It is ok for you to come up with things Eren could have done differently and please let me know in the comments I want to know. But the writer is intently making all the other option not viable for Eren. In watching this part of Season 4 something kept coming into my head and it is from an anime called Naruto. It is a conversion between Naruto and his Master "Even I can see... There's too much hate in our shinobi world.. I'm always thinking that I want to do something about this hatred... But I'm not sure how to go about it yet. But I truly believe... That eventually the day will come when all people will understand one another and live in harmony." There is too much hate and this is clearest in episode (Camp fire scene.) Both sides have done wrong but this also shows that we can over come our differences and work as one. The Alliance They want to stop the rumbling and save the world If you also asked me if the Alliance are right? I would say no. what the Alliance/ key members of the group did in killing their former friends and soldiers for me was not right. And this conversion from The Witcher came to mind. “Evil is evil, Stregobor. Lesser, greater, middling, it's all the same. I am not judging you I haven’t only done good in my life either but now if I have to choose between one evil and another, then I prefer not to choose at all. Personally, will always choose to do lesser good acts rather than do anything for the greater good. But what about you what would you do if you were given the choice. Would you save your friends and family if it meant dooming the world or would try to save the world that hates you and hope to break that cycle, I personally would do the lather and hope for a better tomorrow.
