39.5mm x 46.1mm x 9.5mm This is the Seiko Selection SBTM289. It is a JDM watch, and it is a mid-tier solar radio controlled watch, using the 7B75 movement. Without the sync updates the quartz is rated for the standard +/- 15 seconds per month. The case and bracelet are titanium with some kind of "diamond shield" protection. The sapphire crystal has anti-reflective coating. Originally it would weigh 72g, but with adjusting for my wrist size (200mm or around 7.8 inches) two links were removed, and in this configuration it weights around 67g. The bracelet lug width is 20mm with a taper at the clasp of 18mm. Because this bracelet drapes down at the lugs, this could fit some smaller wrists (46mm wrist width or greater). This dial is a matte royal blue. It contrasts and "pops" against the grey tone of the titanium casing. The dial has a vertical pinstripe pattern and overlaid is a very subtle sunburst pattern from the centre. The Seiko logo is raised, and there are various printed markings around the perimeter for the radio tower indicators, plus a blue chapter ring with city/timezones, grouped to the radio towers. Functionally, like other solar radio-controlled watches, all you have to do is set the timezone and it will try to sync with the appropriate radio tower overnight. Summertime or Daylight Savings Time is done manually, in that you just set it to the next timezone. There are manual overrides to setting the watch or making smaller timezone increments. With barely any polished surfaces, most of the case and bracelet are brushed. This gives the watch a feeling of a tool watch. If I had selected the black dial then this would be even more of a discrete watch. But having the blue makes it fun to look at. I've had this watch for 9 months and I think that it is in great shape. Without the bright lighting, the bracelet scuff marks are not visible. I also wanted to share that as a foreigner buying a JDM watch at a Japanese retailer I was able to get around 40% off the original retail price. 00:00 Titles 00:05 Inspection 01:03 Functions 02:14 What It Cost
