For the first time in over 30 years, we are bringing back gorillas to San Antonio Zoo, and we are proud to unveil a flythrough video of our new immersive habitat, Congo Falls, scheduled to open later this year. Congo Falls marks a significant milestone in our zoo’s 111-year history. This habitat will set the stage for an extraordinary new chapter in wildlife conservation, education, and an unparalleled guest experience. Guests will step into an immersive, lush habitat — one of the larger gorilla habitats in the United States. Congo Falls will be home to eight western lowland gorillas: a bachelor troop of four male gorillas and a family group of one silverback and three females. Learn all about it in this video!
