This winter (if you can call it that - not cold enough for me), I went with my sister (   / shiiloh  ) and also with Steve, one half of the "stelley08" YouTube channel (   / stelley08  ) to hike the Te Aroha Summit Track, in the Kaimai Ranges. We found a few mushrooms on the way. Not much of a view from the top (we were in the clouds that day), but we met some friendly people from the "Waikato Trail Runners and Walkers" (for anyone who is interested in their group -   / waikatotrailrunners  . The Kaimai Range separates the Waikato district in the west from the Bay of Plenty district in the east. Te Aroha (the mountain, not the town it is next to) is the highest point in the range. The Kaimai Range is the result of a fault that uplifted primarily andesitic rocks from long-extinct volcanoes. This began over a million years ago, and the fault has been inactive for around 140,000 years. Ceolskog is the solo folk metal project of Adam Helliwell from Hamilton, New Zealand. It is also the name given to his nature-themed YouTube channel. Ceol is an Irish word meaning music, and skog means forest in Norwegian and Swedish. No, I don't have a Patreon.
