‘Sandhya’ - Tamil, ✨ I’m super excited to be releasing my second Original Composition that I’ve composed and sung. It’s called Sandhya! Sandhya means twilight/dusk and dawn. It’s the transition time between the day and night. Whenever I witness these magical colours of the sky during the Sandhya vela, the Sandhya time, I always get inspired. It reminds me to keep dreaming and that there’s beauty in life, in art and in the whole essence of living, including all facets of it. So I composed a melody one day, wrote some lines for it in Telugu, five years ago during the lockdown 2020. As time progressed, 2 years back, I realised that there should be 2 more lines that would complete the meaning of the song bringing out its core purpose. The fulcrum, the crux. Once I wrote them, it all made sense and everything fell in place. Immensely grateful to myself for never giving up at the toughest of times and for waiting this long, so that this song sees the light of day :) Then came the idea that I should release this in 5 languages. So I got to collaborate with 4 other lyricists who wrote different versions as a reinterpretation of what I’ve written originally in Telugu. Each version in each language now, has its own unique style in conveying a greater purpose of life, its journey, art and living. The Tamil lyrics have been written by my good friend Mukundan Raman.
