In this tutorial, we’re showing you how to do PINDASANA \ EMBRYO POSE as practiced in Ashtanga's Closing Sequence. You’ll learn the traditional vinyasa cues and Sanskrit count as we show you how to enter the pose from Urdhva Padmasana, move into the state of the asana, and then transition into Matsyasana. You’ll recognize the benefits of this posture and where to feel a deep stretching sensation, as well as cues to look for that indicate you might need to back out of the pose and readjust. We also explain a variation to approach this pose if lotus isn’t accessible for you.
