Hunting a Once-in-80,000-Year Comet!

In the evening sky over the Indian River #Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS begins to set, seemingly chasing after the setting sun. This mini documentary covers my attempt to photograph this rare celestial event. This comet will be a viewable target for all of North America for the next several days to the naked eye, before it begins to get dimmer and dimmer. NASA says Oct. 14-24 is the best time to view the comet, ideally with binoculars or a small telescope. In really dark skies the comet is visible to the naked eye, especially before Oct. 17.
