Hey there, and welcome to this longplay of Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut for the Nintendo GameCube. Releasing in 2003, this game is a enhanced port of the Dreamcast game Sonic Adventure. In this game you can play as quite a few characters. We will be playing through each characters campaign. When it comes to iconic video games and series, there are not many who are as popular as Sonic. It's crazy to think, that Sonic is still so relevant, they are making movies about the series. Considering how the series as a whole cannot decide on where to go. Sometimes, there are games that have so much love and care put into them, and sometimes there are games that are clearly soulless cash grabs. However, there is no denying that Sonic was near its height in the early 2000's. During this time it felt like all hands on deck. When I was younger, I could not get enough Sonic. I remember there was a small rental store near my house where I rented Sonic Heroes for the first time. I had the rental for four days and had to beat it in that time. The funny thing was, my Mom did not want to feel like she wasted her money, so she'd let me play the games until I beat them. I remember getting this game, and being so excited. I played the whole game and had no idea that there were gardens like the second game. And. honestly being a kid before the internet was wildly accessible the titles confused me. But, that didn't stop me from being obsessed. This game is a really fun approach to the Sonic formula which I think a lot of people forget. It really did offer a lot to the series, sadly there were lots of things that did not age super well and I can see how some people may find some parts annoying. It's still lots of fun, and if you have time you should enjoy a little piece of Sonic history and give this game a try. It's an absolute recommend.
