Remember the Google maps link is in the description below Nevertheless this is the bait we were using on the day. Level 5 feed mix in the meilie bom ground bait. From the left: Purple telescopic Supercast sniper float, super cast tutti frutti meilies and fish garlic zeros float 10mm with detinator dips strawberry and white chocolate. First yellow rod a@z baits banana hard floats with signature series garlic bullets and banjo and devils fork bol dips. Second yellow rod A2Z caramel hard floats, fish zero plain floats 8mm, with detonator dips aniseed and honey bol dips. Bass rod: Power baits strawberry meilies and fish zero floats 8mm palin and 10mm garlic with super cast spiderman and haibo bol dips. We also tried putting the sweet bol dip over the strong bol dip after the first cast to see if that made a difference. We finally got him in and he was 5.265kg with the net so around 4.6kg without the net. Another beautiful common carp! This carp also fell to the strawberry flavoured meilies from power baits on the top hook. Another beautiful common carp. This one fell to the 10mm fish garlic zero float on the bottom hook. We were surprised that the switch was that quick. What tips can we give you? We are not sure if the feed mix made any difference, but since none of the other rods got any bites we assume it wasn't the feed or hook baits but rather the location. Location is a difficult thing to decipher because the fish could be there this week and next week they aren't. If you don't have a fish finder you can't really find the fish by just looking at the water. For us when we approach any water, the two places we are casting to is one close and one far. In both cases if there are reeds or something in either place we will try to cast to those. The other rods are to cover the space inbetween. Depending on the time you have at the dam you might be able to cast a couple of times or cast all over the dam. If you are there for a short session like we always are, then try to go to spots that have produced fish before but if you can't then fan your rods out in terms of distances.
