Dwarf Fortress is renowned for being a complex, brutal and difficult sanbox game. Today, I, Laith, will attempt to beat it with a catch: I've never played before, I have 0 hours played and I know nothing about the game. To make life even harder, I'm not allowed to use the tutorial, I cannot look anything up and I cannot ask for help. This is going to be one of the hardest gaming challenges I've had to face in my YouTube Career. On top of this, it's my first attempt at trying scripted, high quality videos! Fun! Back to the game though, Dwarf Fortress by it's very nature of being a sandbox survival esque game (more specifically talking about adventure mode here) forces me to try to think outside the box and innovate when confronted with basic mechanics, like drinking water or eating food. We can have companions, pets, armour, accept quests.... that is if I knew how to play.
