Hi my dear viewers, Here is the detailed recipe with ingredients : Ingredients: 1 cup dry kidney beans (rajma) 1 large onion, finely chopped 2 medium tomatoes, pureed 1-2 green chilies, chopped (optional) 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder 1 teaspoon red chili powder 1 teaspoon cumin powder 1 teaspoon coriander powder 1 teaspoon garam masala • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 2 tablespoons oil or ghee Salt, to taste • Fresh cilantro leaves, chopped (for garnish) Water (for boiling and adjusting consistency) Directions Soak the rajma (kidney beans) in water overnight or for at least 6-8 hours. After soaking, drain the beans and rinse them well. In a pressure cooker, add the soaked rajma with 4-5 4-5 cups of water and cook for about 5-6 whistles on medium flame or until the beans are soft and tender. You can also cook them in aregular pot, but it will take longer (about 1.5-2 hours). Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the chopped green chilies (optional) and the pureed tomatoes. Cook the tomato mixture until it thickens and the oil starts to separate from the masala (about 5-7 minutes). Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Stir well and cook the masala for 1-2 minutes to allow the spices to blend together. Add the cooked rajma (kidney beans) along with the cooking water to the spice mixture in the pan. Stir to combine and let it simmer on low heat for about 15-20 minutes so the beans absorb the flavors of the spices. If the curry is too thick, you can add a little water to reach your desired consistency. Add garam masala and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Adjust salt and spices to taste. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro. Jeera Rice: Boil 1 cup basmati rice and keep it ready Heat a pan Add 2-3 Tablespoom ghee 1-2 teaspoon cumin When it splutters add the prepared rice. Add salt to taste, sprinkle coriander leaves and mix well Music by @BensoundMusic #vegetarian #delicious #diy #easy #foryou #music #cooking #recipe #rajmarecipe #rajma #jeerarice #veg
