The release of stockpiled rice will eliminate the sense of scarcity, so consumers will not need to hoard. The question is how the market for this year's harvest will move. If there is sufficient stock, rice will not be purchased until it is sold out. I think there will be a backlog of collections due to a surplus of rice. The rising prices will eventually come back to haul me around. I hope that people don't turn away from agriculture at an accelerated pace.
