Interviews. Seminar on Simulation applied to health training. CMAT - IAVANTE

The Advanced Multifunctional Centre for Simulation and Technological Innovation, CMAT, (Granada) belonging to IAVANTE of the Fundación Progreso y Salud (Health and Progress Foundation) was visited by health experts and representants of the Thai Healthcare System ( the Rajavithi Hospital and Rangsit University) in order to be trained in advanced simulation methodologies and their benefits to achieve high levels of quality in the educational process of medical professionals. Under the heading 'Seminar introduction to simulation applied to medical training', thirty-five professionals could acquire knowledge on current uses and future prospects of training and assessment of health professionals through the simulation with the goal of quality improvement, professional motivation and patient safety. IAVANTE workshops developed robotic simulation methodologies in various scenarios of CMAT as a case with respiratory failure, one patient with a gynecological or obstetric emergency and a severe case of myocardial infarction. Led by faculty experts, students got to know the general concepts of the methodological and technological aspects, and even experience the benefits of training through immersion in these almost real situations.
