शिव धाम ख़बरू का इतिहास काफी पुराना हैं । इस स्थान का पुराना नाम परौल था वताया जाता हैं कि इस स्थान का स्वन्ध पांडवों से भी रहा हैं पांडवो ने अपनी हिमालयन यात्रा से पूर्व पांडव एक रात्रि ठहराब किया था । सुबह होते ही उन्होंने पांडव रानी द्रौपती के स्नान कराणे हेतु इस झरने का निर्माण किया था । उसी सुबह सभी पांडवो ने स्नान किया था और अपने आराध्य देव महादेव शिव की पूजा के वाद ही यहाँ से हिमालयन की और प्रस्थान किया था यहाँ के स्थानीय लोगो को पहले से ही इस स्थल की पवित्रता का ज्ञान था उस समय भी लोग सन्तान प्राप्ति हेतु और अपनी मनोकामना पूर्ति हेतु यहाँ डुबकी लगाते थे और अपनी हर शुभ मनोकामना का शुभ फल अवश्य पाते थे यहाँ के स्थानीय लोगों का तव से लेकर इस स्थल से गहरा स्वन्ध रहा हैं। फिर काफ़ी समय वितने के बाद आज से एक सदी पूर्ब यहाँ पर सन्यासी बाबा हरिया स्वामी जी आये और यहीं पर रहने लगे वोह बाहर खुले आसमान में ही दिन रात पवित्र धूणा लगाकर इसको प्रजबलित करके प्रभु के ध्यान में ही मगन रहते थे यहाँ रहते रहते बाबा जी के काफी सेवक भी बन गए ।जिनमे एक सेवक रामो जी ने एक कुटिया का निर्माण बाबा के ठहरने के लिए बनाया इसके अलावा रोनकी और जीजा ने भी काफी समय सेवक में लगाया बाबा जी यहाँ आने वाले यात्रियों को भोजन भी करवाते थे ब जादू टोनो के और अन्य प्रकार के अंध विशवासो में फंसे लोगों का भी विवारन करते थे । लोग यहाँ पे संतान प्राप्ति ब अपनी मनोकामना पूरी की पूर्ति हेतु इस पवित्र झरने के नीचे डुबकी लगाते और अपनी सभी मनोकामनाओं को पूरा पाते थे । बाबा जी ने इस झरने के शिखर पर माता स्वर्गदूआरी को भी स्तापित किया जिसके दर्शन आप झरने के तल से कर सकते हैं । इसके बाद बाबा शुभनन्द जी इस पवित्र सथल पर पहुंचे उन्होंने भी इस स्थल को पवित्र धाम बताया और यहाँ पर शृद्धालुओँ को वार्षिक भंडारे का शुभारंभ किया चार वर्ष तक उन्होंने इस भंडारे को झरने के पास ही लगाया उसके बाद भंडारे को बोह में ही लगाते थे । उन्होंने इस पवित्र धाम के बारे में काफी दूर दूर तक प्रचार करते थे उनका भी काफी योगदान रहा हैं तब से लेकर यहाँ काफी शृद्धालुओ की संख्या में दिन प्रतुदिन बढ़ रही हैं और हजारों शृद्धालु यहाँ डुबकी लगाकर अपनी यात्रा का शुभ फल पा रहे हैं । The history of Shiv Dham Khabru is quite old. The old name of this place was Paraul. It is said that this place has also been associated with the Pandvas. The Pandvas had taken shelter for a night at this place before venturing out on the journey for the Himalayas. In the morning, this waterfall was created by the Padavas for the bathing purpose of their queen Draupadi. The Pandvas bathed in this waterfall in the same morning and departed for the Himalayas after worshipping their adorable deity Lord Shiva. The people of this place already had the knowledge of the piousness of this place. Even at that time people would take plunge in the waterfall to let their issue fulfilment and other wishes come out true. People would always find all their wishes/desires realized after this holy bath. The people of this place share a deep and special bond with this place since that time. After the lapse of nearly a hundred years, a sage called Baba Hariya visited this place and started living here only. He would kindle the sacred fire (dhoona) under the open sky and would meditate all the time. Eventually many people became the disciples of the sage. One such disciple, Ramo Ji, got a shed built for the sage. Apart from it, two more disciples, Raunki and Jija also devoted much time in the service of the sage. The sage would also feed the devotees to this place and would heal the people suffering from black magic and superstitious beliefs. The sage also got established Mata Swargduwari on the top of the waterfall which can be viewed from the bottom of the waterfall. After this, sage Shubhnand reached at this place and made it a holy shrine. He also initiated the annual feast (bhandara) for the devotees. He earlier had this feast held at this waterfall for four years and thereafter it continued to be organised at Boh. He spread the word about this sacred place far and wide and thus contributed immensely in its popularity.
