In this video, I set out to do what so many Rocket League players recommend: train in workshop maps every day to improve mechanics. I chose 5 maps and played each one for 10 minutes a day, planning to grind them all for 7 straight days… but I only lasted 3 days. Here's why it just didn’t work for me. 🗺️ The maps I played: 🌀 Lethamyr’s Giant Rings – pure car control and consistency test 🏃♂️ Lethamyr’s Dribble Challenge – precision and grounded movement ✈️ Air Dribble Gauntlet – brutal on boost management and control 🛫 Air Dribble Challenge – mechanical endurance and aerial finesse 🎯 Coco’s Aim Trainer – crosshair accuracy and quick reactions ⏱️ I gave each map exactly 10 minutes a day. The plan was to push through the pain and see if all that training would actually translate into better Rocket League gameplay… but by Day 3, I realized this whole experiment was starting to feel like a complete waste of time. 🙃 Why? • It didn’t feel connected to real in-game situations • My motivation dropped fast • Improvement was minimal and didn’t show in ranked • Some maps just weren’t fun after the first few runs 💬 I break down exactly how it felt, what each map was like, and whether I think workshop map grinding is actually worth it or not in 2025. 📣 HUGE shoutout to @AstroKyros for the inspiration. His videos got me thinking about workshop map training in the first place, and his content is top-tier for any player who wants to dive deeper into Rocket League mechanics.
