Winter Landscape Photography: Creux du Van in Snow and Wind

Strong winds, snow and low temperatures pose some challenges for photography but much more opportunities. I have visited this location several times in winter - even with heavy snowfall. I also know that it's often quite windy - but I've never experienced a combination of snow and wind like this time. Taking photos in these conditions was on the one hand challenging, on the other hand it was also a special experience. When the wind howls, the snow comes down horizontally and the world disappears in the white, you feel as if you were reborn on a planet of wonders. From a photographic point of view, I was hoping for more. But maybe my expectations were too high, because a few years ago I was able to take some of my best winter images in this location. Nevertheless, I am happy to have spent such a day outdoors, to feel the power of nature down to my toes and to have made some nice photographs. Thanks for watching!
