Saad's youtube channel    / cyberathlete   1) BEDROOM Speakers: Martin Logan Motion 40 Integrated: Peachtree Decco125 Sky Cost: $1800 (all new) I originally bought the speakers for the living room but now this system belongs to my wife. We both are fans of the ribbon tweeter in these speakers. For Bollywood songs (which is primarily what she listens to) they sound very smooth and musical. Given their placement in the bedroom the bass response is weak but the Decco has tone controls settings so a +6dB boost to bass fixes that. The Decco125 I got for her because it is the simplest way for her to stream music. Open Spotify, select Decco125 as the playback drive and you're done. The unit powers on automatically the moment it detects you're phone connected to it. The simpler it is for her the more inclined she is to use the setup. And this was as easy as it gets. Great speakers, very good integrated, and for someone who is not a critical listener, this is hit it out of the park for her. 2) LIVING ROOM Speakers: B&W 804 Diamonds (setup on Isoacoustics Aperta 200) Subwoofers: 2x REL T5i Pre: Parasound P6 Amp: Rotel RB-1582MKII Streamer: Chromecast Audio connected via Optic Fiber Cable Cost for everything above: $6,815 This is my audiophile setup. Great recordings just sound mesmerizing here. If I want to maximize my enjoyment of my music and the recordings are great, this is my go to setup. If I want to show my friends what a high end speaker system can sound like, this is the set-up to show them that. And the Chromecast Audio sounds just as good as my direct PC USB connection. I can't tell the difference in quality between the two when streaming Amazon HD music. Streamer: Chromecast Audio connected via Optic Fiber cable to Parasound P6. One thing that almost no one talks about in the Hi-Fi world of audio is the Chromecast Audio network streamer. Why would they, when they want to sell streaming devices between $500-$4000. This thing when used with Optic Fiber connection, delivers a full range, unaltered signal of high resolution files feeding them directly to your pre-amp or integrated. It is the least expensive and yet the same sounding streamer in my opinion as those that are 10x the price compared to this one. I use this in my living room setup. Amazon Music HD (only through Android OS, not iOS), among other streamers supports Chromecast Audio. It has made listening to music a joy using just my phone. I used to use my Intel NUC as the streaming device for online music streaming services until I remembered I had two of these in my storage pantry downstairs. I compared the sound of Amazon Music HD and Spotify on my PC connected to the pre-amp via USB, versus this, and honestly they sound the same. And if you have multiple Chromecast Audio devices around the house you can use them all at the same time to stream the same song on all your setups. This is honestly one of the best investments in audio anyone can make. Especially if you're integrated/pre-amp does not have network capabilities. I believe this can only be used over Wi-Fi and it does not have support for Bluetooth. 3) HOME OFFICE Speakers: B&W CM6 S2 Subwoofer: Martin Logan Dynamo 300 Integrated: Yamaha R-N803 Cost: $1,750 These are the B&W speakers that I fell in love with first. To this day I enjoy them. A lot of air and sound stage about them. Work well for all genres. And boy can they go loud. 4) HOME THEATER Speakers: Polk Audio LSiM 707 Towers x2 LSiM 703 bookshelves x4 706 C Center channel RT60i ceiling speakers Surround Receiver: Yamaha Aventage RX-A3070 5 channel power amp: Rotel RMB-1585 Cost: $4,650 To me these are the best all rounder speakers I own. They sound great with all recordings, good or bad, work for all genres. They may not be the master of any one particular thing but the sum of the speaker is greater than the parts. You can nit pick about not being as detailed as higher end speakers, or not being as airy or having the sound stage as big. But as an all rounder, these just sounds good no matter what you listen through and what you hook up to it. These are it. They also work well with every component I've hooked them up to. And the finish is beautiful. Fantastic for movies and music alike. And at the price i got them at, I would never part with them. Never in my life time will I find a deal like that again. And for the price, this setup is a 20/10 in my books.
