Years ago, these hills and the area north of Agrigento were not on the tourist map, but the potential was there. In these hills there are prehistoric caves, and a breed of goats, at one time close to extinction. There are people living is small hill top villages with interesting names like Sant'Angelo Muxaro, and communities of people willing to share that which fills their daily lives, from food to botany, from archeology to farming. In some ways, they are places stopped in time and yet there is a something 'happening' there. Pierfilippo is more than a guide. He is a leader, a man who has instilled pride in the local people and made the area a destination.
