A spy show with a unique premise: instead of using trained agents, convince civilians who have the particular skills needed for the mission-of-the-week to 'come spy with me'. This is similar to one of the early concepts for 'Mission: Impossible'. The excuse the show came up with was that spies had learned the ID of the regular agents, so new guest stars were recruited each week. Very nice M:I styled high-stakes con games, but the show only lasted a half-season. You can't blame its failure on the stylish opening sequence, or the seductive theme song, warbled in style by Crystal Gayle. We've muted the explosion at the end of the titles so as not to drown out any part of Marcia Waldorf's memorable tune.
