Bamboo Growth Experiment: Phyllostachys Aureosulcata This video, part 4 of a series, examines the growth rate of Phyllostachys Phyllostachys aureosulcata aureocaulis and Phyllostachys aureosulcata spectabilis propagated from rhizome cuttings. Methodology: Rhizome cuttings were propagated in a containerized growing medium for 4 weeks. The cuttings were then transplanted into individual holding pots. Growth rate was calculated based on measurements taken at week 4 and week 8. Results: The bamboo shoots exhibited an impressive growth rate of 1.43 cm per day. Future Studies: This channel, Bamboo Story, will continue tracking the progress of these and other bamboo plants throughout the fall and winter seasons.
