Workbench for small workshops - all in one solution PART 1 In this video I will be building the frame for my workbench. Its made from cheap and widely available materials - 2x4's (38mm by 89mm) and some studs (38mm by 63mm). The whole workbench is mobile and will house a flip top with my mitre saw - when not in use it will give me a massive work area. Underneath the bench there will be storage for my joiner and thicknesser, both on mobile bases with a smart lifting solution. The bench will also have a back attached that will go all the way up to the joists of my workshop. This will be the place for some smart storage solutions. There will be several parts of the build so make sure to Subscribe to my channel and press that bell notification button to make sure you will not miss any of my future videos. Cut list: For this project I used two types of boards. T1 - 38mm x 63mm x 2400mm T2 - 38mm x 89mm x 2400mm There are 4 legs, two made from T1 and two from T2. T1 legs - we need 4 boards 65.5cm long and 4 board 78cm long. These legs got some additional support boards at the bottom. They are 4cm x 4cm x 74.2cm T2 legs - we need 4 boards 70.4cm long and 4 boards 78cm long The frame for the top is made from T2 boards. Please bear in mind the frame depth is smaller by 1.8cm to accommodate for a back board that will be installed in my future videos. One T2 board 177cm long Four T2 boards 68.7cm long One T2 board 51cm long One T2 board 56cm long The whole frame has got 4 cross support beams at the bottom of legs, all made from T1 boards. One T1 board 39cm long Two T1 boards 69.2cm long One T1 board 43.5 cm long For the top I have used 18mm plywood. Two boards: 1- 51cm x 76.2cm 2- 56cm x 76.2cm The sizes for this bench are dictated by he size of my workshop. It will hold a flip top for my mitre saw and two carts underneath the workbench.
