#queen #goodoldfashionedloverboy #cover #orchestra This brand new version of the wonderful and clever pop song from Queen was written by Freddie Mercury and released in 1976. We’ve taken the piano & rhythm section as was but transferred Brian May’s wonderful, layered guitars to the brass section – including a cracking trumpet solo from George Jefford. This song is so… jolly! It’s one of our favourites, check out the BVs by Alex Jenner, Karen Straw and Jordan Ward, we copied Queen on that score – how can you better it!? Arrangement by Nick Jackson for the Pop Power Orchestra. Video production by Trendy Grandad Productions https://trendygrandad.com Lighting design by Guy Kornetzki Pop Power Orchestra: Nick Jackson vocals, guitar Alex Jenner vocals Vinnie Reck drums Michele Drees percussion, vocals Costa Tancredi bass guitar Jordan Ward guitar, vocals Ivan Garford keys George Jefford trumpet Karen Straw trumpet, vocals Ruby Barber trumpet Dave Land trumpet Sarah Jackson alto saxophone, flute, clarinet George Garford alto saxophone Alyson Cawley tenor saxophone Flo Redmonds tenor saxophone Luke Chakrabati baritone saxophone Dave Whitehouse tenor trombone Ben Holford tenor trombone Richard Hyams tenor trombone Steph Shore bass trombone Special thanks to all the additional musicians on the journey: Chris Gibbins bass guitar Trevor Mires tenor trombone Faye Treacy tenor trombone Simon Minshall bass trombone Simon Finch trumpet Matthew Grocutt trumpet Rebecca Toft trumpet Debden Clarke vocals A VERY BIG AND SPECIAL THANKS: ANNETTE ‘SOX’ BROWN – trumpet player, MD, conductor of sessions, checker of charts, outrageous wit, for the inspiration and encouragement that helped us here.
