Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance - Original Xbox Gameplay

All footage was captured from original hardware. This game was developed for the PS2 and to take full advantage of it's hardware and porting this to the Xbox which has completely different architecture resulted in a game that was better and worse than the original. The Xbox version has better image and graphics quality and it looks really good but it’s missing some graphical effects and the colours look a bit off, it also has clunky controls which can be frustrating when aiming but the main issue is the performance, it suffers with really bad slowdown especially when outside in the Tanker mission where it’s at least running at half the frame rate and feels like Snakes walking in slow motion. It’s not a terrible version but IMO the PS2 is the best version and best played on a CRT.
