Howdy y'all! Come along and get inspired by the vast and varied collection of zines that show up in my P.O. Box. each month. This month's episode is a tribute to impressive and textured collage — so many of the zines y'all sent me this month are resplendent with the most beautiful collages! Topics range from perzines to art zines to newsletters to fanzines. Truly a SMORGASBORD (lol what was my fixation on that word this episode?) of diy inspiration. Zines are diy publications typically reproduced using a copy machine. Stemming from punk, underground, fandom, and activist subcultures, they're an accessible way to share your feelings, thoughts, skills, or art with the world! My name is Dayna and I've been making zines — and helping build community around them — for over twenty years! They're one of my favorite things in the entire world.
