Be it snow, or mountains or lakes or hikes or treks, Kazakhstan is the place for you. I believe this was the most romantic trip I have ever taken. I missed my husband every minute. But well, his loss, my gain. LOL. In spite of staying by the Kolsay lakes, hiking to the mysterious Kaindy lakes in the snow, I feel the most scenic day of my visit to Kazakhstan was this day, when I visited Big Almaty Lake. Also, the tour ends with the most unexpected place to stay. I am a control freak and I like to book my own accommodations because I am so choosy. However, I didn't book this accommodation myself.
