Snorre Expansion project is a huge IOR (Increased Oil Recovery) project, allowing us to increase the recovery from the Snorre field by nearly 200 milllion barrels. 24 new wells in six new templates will be tied up to the Snorre A platform, utilizing existing infrastructure. Despite corona the project is progressing as planned (so far) and recently #DeepOcean installed templates and manifolds at the seabed with the vessel Edda Freya. They also used a fairly new technology developed by Equinor and Kongsberg Maritime for installing risers and umbilicals making it safe to perform such operations without shutting down the platform, which truly pays off!
