SNAP JIGGING LARGE STRIPED BASS MID OCTOBER

It's that time of year again. The larger striped bass moved in with the new moon approaching. The current was strong, allowing the bass to feed on the bait that was being carried with the tide. This is a prime opportunity for SNAP JIGGING. We were able to effectively drift over the fish thanks to my minnkota trolling motor. Without it we would have never been able to stay on top of the fish. The north wind combined with outgoing tide would have pushed us out of the strike zone too fast for the fish to see our LOON-A-SEA LURES bucktails. Snap jigging is a method of fishing a bucktail or jig head with a rubber jerk shad that fish can't resist. Even if the fish aren't actively feeding it induces a reaction strike. This is a style of fishing that everyone should learn. It's fun and effective.
