Don't open fuel lines if exhaust pipe is still hot. Do not disconnect filter with a lit cigarette in your mouth. make sure no key in ignition before beginning. Do not perform procedure without eye protection. Do not wear static electricity inducing clothing. 60k miles might be over due for a new fuel filter. a 30k fuel filter change interval seems reasonable to me. You may need to carefully remove the small plastic clips from the old fuel filter and re-install them back inside the plastic hose ends so everything can snap back together properly. Start the car while it is still on jack stands so you can check for leaks around your new filter before finishing. I decided to keep a fire extinguisher nearby for the first startup.
