Frankfurt am Main is the only city in Germany that has a real skyline - hence the nickname Main-hattan. Frankfurt is a banking hub and has the largest airport in Germany. This is where many tourists land – before flocking to the rebuilt old town with its half-timbered houses to take photos in front of the Römer town hall and on the Eiserner Steg bridge over the Main.
