An AP cameraman embedded with the 101st Airbourne Division spent the day on Friday with the team attached to this division based at Forward Operating Base (FOB) Dwyer near Marja. The Alfa Company 5-158 "Dust Off" Task Force Shadow Medevac battalion are ten months into a year-long deployment. The sun had barely risen on Friday morning when the first Alfa call, the highest priority Medevac request, came through. The two Blackhawks fly in close formation at just over 1000 feet (305 metres) above ground level, at a speed of around 120 knots.
