I lightly flat-ironed my natural hair on 250 degrees. This is what the “old folk” in my family call a “warm comb” (except they would use an ironing comb) Not hot enough to make your hair straight, but enough to give it a stretch and smooth it out a little more. I’m stretching my hair so that I can get a proper trim. I’ve only really needed to trim my hair once a year so far. But if I needed to, I would trim as needed. Prior to this my hair had not been flat ironed in 2 years & 8 months.
