First ice fishing trip of the year in Alberta! We headed out for our first early ice fishing trip of the season on a small Alberta lake and spent two full days chasing trout through the ice. When we first got there, we made sure the ice was safe, made a few holes, and waited for the fish. We finally found the honey hole and it was non stop bites action! I also go over the basics of early-ice safety, and what we use to stay safe on early ice! The fishing didn’t disappoint, we caught a pile of rainbow trout and finished with a nice brown trout to wrap up the trip.
