What wax I use to wax my cuckoo clock I think is best. Howard's Wax that you can buy on line or better deal at Home Depot. The wax will look wet when you first put it on and will soak in the wood, but will look new again. Remember that the non-painted clocks can use the same wax and will turn darker because the moisture is going back into the clock wood.
