XDA – Xtreme Motorcycle Drag Racing Association 38th annual MTC Engineering Summer Nationals Virginia Motorsports Park May 16-18, 2025 HTP Performance Super Stock Winner – Chip Ellis Runner-up – Caleb Holt The action was red-hot in HTP Performance Super Stock, as fresh contenders continue to shake up the leaderboard. Reigning champion Jeremy Teasley, who opened the season with a win, was stopped short in Round 3 by Caleb Holt—the same rider he defeated in the season-opener final. This time, Holt flipped the script, eliminating Teasley and fighting his way back to another final-round appearance. On the other side of the ladder, Chip Ellis made a powerful statement aboard his Suzuki GSX-R1000. While the class has been traditionally dominated by Kawasakis, Ellis stormed through the field to secure his first final-round appearance of the season. Suzuki fans were excited to see their brand in the spotlight again—the last time a Suzuki claimed the Super Stock win was at the 2024 season finale when Teasley took the victory on a Hayabusa. Heading into the final, Holt appeared to have the performance edge. But when the bulbs dropped, Ellis delivered a clutch-perfect .059 light—a rare feat in this hand-clutch class—and never looked back. Holt, despite running a quicker 8.944 to Ellis’s 8.965, couldn’t overcome his sluggish start, cutting the slowest light of his day (and possibly the season). With two final-round appearances under his belt, Holt now takes over the points lead—though Ellis is closing in fast.
