Create Professional Headshots ONLY Using Umbrellas with Lindsay Adler

In this video, I demonstrate using three types of umbrellas to create flattering headshot lighting for a men's portrait. Umbrellas are often underrated modifiers, yet they are incredibly versatile, affordable, and easy to work with. For this set, I use a silver umbrella, a shoot-through umbrella, and a white bounce umbrella and discuss options for 1, 2, or 3 lights. We’ll start with a medium silver umbrella with diffusion as the main light, adding a triflector for catch lights and shadow fill. I’ll also incorporate a small white bounce umbrella for a hair light and a small shoot-through umbrella for the background light. Using just these three lights, I’ll explain how you can create professional-quality headshots with a simple, versatile, and effective setup.
