Thankfully the Vocolinc MistFlow has finally arrived in time to help us deal with the winter itch before it gets too bad! The Mistflow is the latest release in Vocolincs Well Being product line, following up the PureFlow that was released last year, and is the big brother to the FlowerBud which many of us have been enjoying for the last couple of winter seasons. Unlike the Flowerbud which was intended to be a diffuser for essential oils, the Mistflow is a full blow humidifier with a 2.5L capacity that helps to keep your air at the proper moisture for up to 30 hours on a single fill. At a low 30w max power draw, the Mistflow is also going to offer significant energy saving when compared to some of the standard hot mist humidifiers that it might be replacing. In my case, my sense energy monitor reported that the Mistflow was consuming on average around 25w of power which is about 10% of the draw from the Warm mist humidifier which it's replacing (254w average). The Mistflow isn't all good things though - When used as directed with distilled water, the Mistflow will be great, but the majority of people using standard tap water to refill the unit daily will find that they now have a higher level of particulate matter to deal with in the air. This isn't a huge deal if you have a quality Air Purifier in the same room such as the Vocolinc PureFlow, but it IS something that you should definitely consider before placing them all over your house. Overall, I'm very happy with the MistFlow, so much so that I've picked up four of these units to place around my home to cut down on my energy usage AND keep the air at a healthy humidity level through the winter. #Vocolinc #homekit #MistFlow
