If Meghan Markle and Prince Harry really wanted to cut ties with a slew of UK tabloid papers, they would have done it “very quietly and very quickly (with) as little pomp and ceremony as possible” instead of broadcasting it to the whole world, according to Sky News contributor Daisy Cousens. Harry and Meghan have told the editors of four national UK newspapers that they will never deal with their media outlets again. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vowed "there will be no corroboration and zero engagement" with the Daily Mail, The Sun, Daily Mirror and Daily Express or their Sunday counterparts. This could mean that these newspapers are stopped from receiving updates and photographs of Harry and Meghan, and reports suggest they may be blocked from attending their media events. In a strongly worded letter, the couple said they have seen the lives of people they know "completely pulled apart for no good reason, other than the fact salacious gossip boosts advertising revenue". Ms Cousens told Sky News by broadcasting their intentions to the world, Harry and Meghan wanted to show “how moral they are.” “It makes them look incredibly petty and incredibly spiteful,” she said.
