Arraignment was held Wednesday for the two children charged in the alleged sexual assault of a 5-year-old girl in a Cleveland field in Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court. However, only one of the two defendants appeared before Judge Kristen Sweeney. Last month, a 10-year-old girl and 9-year-old boy were indicted on the following charges by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office: One count of attempted murder Four counts of rape Two counts of felonious assault One count of kidnapping One count of strangulation “A 5-year-old on September 13th of 2025 was found naked, in a field, urinated upon and assaulted," explained prosecutor Oscar Albores during Wednesday's arraignment. The specific allegations are too graphic to describe. The older of the two suspects, a 10-year-old girl, was arraigned first. She walked in wearing a parka and kept her hood up throughout the hearing, covering most of her face. (Editor's Note: Because they are minors, 3News is not showing the suspects faces, nor are we naming them.) Albores asked Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court Judge Kristen Sweeney to order the defendant to home detention with an ankle monitor. The victim's mother made her own plea to the judge. “This type of behavior doesn't deserve grace," she told Sweeney. "They knew what they were doing and they was okay with that. They even play, they even played after not caring about my baby.” READ MORE: https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/cri...
