I remember first hearing it in Super Smash Bros. Melee as a kid and then in the original F-Zero game. The speed and the intensity were perfect for the high speeds and high stakes of this game. But, what truly makes the song special, are the the beautiful melodies on top that balance everything out. The melodies that sing and keep you going when the race is difficult and obstacles seem impossible to overcome. “Mute City” is so beloved that it's been remixed so many times by so many people. Even in official releases, there are countless different versions of this song for each game that it has appeared on, such as Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart. It took me a while to tackle this one because of that, but at the same time, I always had it in the back of my mind to one day make it mine and the time is finally here. In honor of Mute City and all the countless memories hearing this theme and it’s different versions, whether it’s from F-Zero X, F-Zero GX, or even Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
