This short video shows you how to calibrate the Dr. Meter pH meter. This is the most economical accurate digital pH meter we have found on Amazon. We have observed that screen exposure after 4pm during the winter, even while wearing blue blocking glasses, can cause waking in the early morning hours and increase first morning urine pH, and potentially bed time urine pH, which may indicate disruption of the sleep cycle even if you did not wake up. If you do your own observations please let us know if you find this to be true for yourself! Please email us your observations at [email protected] . The food you eat and your overall state of health, recent, and ongoing infections will also influence your pH. For good quality information on how food influences pH we recommend studying BioBalance by Dr. Randolph Wiley; for studies of normal pH look at the work of Dr. Revici. He found that normal urine pH shows a circadian rhythm that fluctuates around 6.2. Lower values should be seen between 4pm and 4am first waking urine is mostly generated before 4am and thus should be less than 6.2, higher values between 4am and 4pm.
