How to replace a print head on a DesignJet T1300 plotter. For Sales, Service, Repairs, Spares, Support & More visit: http://www.hpplotter.co.uk This video goes through the process of replacing printheads on a Designjet T1300 series (including T790/T2300eMFP). This is normally only done when the machine advises it or when you have print quality issues which you have ascertained must be the printheads at fault. The video goes through the sequence on the panel - I for info page on top left - spanner on bottom right - two inkdrops for the ink menu and select - replace printhead -. The Designjet unlocks the carriage and moves it to make it accessible and then tells you to open the window. There you will see the carriage and it being unlatched with the handle being pulled forward and pushed up and back to reveal the printheads. Finding the relevant printhead, it is lifted vertically by its small handle and the printhead pulled out. The contacts are checked for ink and cleaned if necessary with a dampened lint free cloth before inserting the new printhead. When it is seated in place the sensor beeps, the carriage is relatched before closing the top window cover above. The machine then checks the printheads and if necessary runs a Printhead Alignment check. The printer is then ready to print.
