Well we decided to fish the last of the flood tide today, and get the high water in dads boat! There was a bit of a northerly roll on the beach, but with a little timing on the oars, it wasnt a problem. Well the herring drift nets were soon shot, and the outer end was sinking! Time to haul the gear, or was it? Plenty of fish! Herring were fairly thick on the outside of the gear. Well it was a good pull hauling, then we returned to the beach. After a few hours cleaning, the fish were taken to the market, iced and put in the chill, ready for the auction Monday!
