Music, as well as life, would be utterly boring without it. The more tension you can build up, by comparison, the more the release is contrasted and vice versa. There's quite a few ways to build up tension in music using a variety of techniques but I want to show you one that I probably use almost every time I get behind my instrument. If I’m not using it I’m more than likely using some form of this technique. In this video I’ll give you some examples of what the technique is and exactly how I use it.
