If you're even passingly familiar with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's oldest daughter, then you probably know that Jana Duggar is single. At this point, it's pretty much the 28-year-old's defining characteristic. Rumors about Jana being courted by some lucky young gent seem to pop up at the rate of about one per week. These rumors have ranged from the totally plausible (any number of Duggar family friends) to the hilariously far-fetched. Jana is more private than some of her siblings when it comes the details of her personal life, so many believe that if and when she does find Mr. Right, she'll bide her time before making the relationship public. And so these days, many Duggar are obsessives are losing their minds over the revelation that Jana will soon be making a major announcement. The ninth season of Counting On is set to premiere on February 11. Promotional materials for the show have teased a "major announcement" that will apparently come as a surprise to most of the Duggar siblings. But when producers ask Jana about the great mystery of this season, she simply looks away from the camera and giggles. Obviously, she didn't come right out and say it's her surprise, and she certainly didn't reveal that she's courting. But c'mon ... with a teaser like that, Jana better have something big up her sleeve. It doesn't need to be a courtship, necessarily. Hell, it would be way more wild and entertaining if she announced that the Then, instead of more boring storylines about flipping cars or whatever, we could watch the drama unfold as the family chooses sides in the epic war between Jana and Jim Bob. It's about time Counting On added a little Game of Thrones to its formula. It's obviously not going to happen, but we're gonna continue holding out hope that Jana is about to raise the drama stakes in a major way.
