Catholic Parish of Saint Anne, founded in 1849, located in Digbeth, just on the edge of Birmingham City Centre. The church was originally founded by Cardinal Newman, however, the  present building was designed in 1884.  Formerly a gin distillery, it was bought and fitted up as a Chapel to accommodate five hundred people.  J. R. R. Tolkien worshipped here when he lived in Moseley.
