We witnessed some history-making performances at the London Olympics, from Chad Le Clos? 200 butterfly victory to Katie Ledecky?s gutsy swim in the 800 freestyle. As great as many of the swims we saw in London were, very few could match the significance that went into the final of the women?s 400 freestyle relay in Montreal in 1976.
